As reported in the December, 2008 issue of “Los Angeles”, Dr. Thomas P. Schmalzried has been recognized by his peers as one of Southern California’s Super Doctors.  More than 30,000 medical professionals were asked to nominate one or more doctors, other than themselves, from specified medical specialties based on one question:  “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?”  The research team identified Southern California doctors who had achieved special recognition from their peers or had demonstrated other indications of expertise in their specialties.  Dr. Schmalzried is listed under his specialty, Orthopedic Surgery.
