Volleyball player returns to competition following hip resurfacing

Ivan Dekovic received a ConservePlus hip resurfacing device in October of 2000. This surgery ended his fight with right hip osteoarthritis consecutive to previous trauma. Four years after the operation Ivan resumed his competitive physical activities. Ivan is now 65 years old and has won a gold medal in volleyball at the Sydney 2009 World Master Games where he was selected with his team the “Legends” to represent the US in a competition that gathered athletes from 98 different countries.

The Legends prevailed in the finals over a heavily favorite Russian team after 5 sets of an epic battle.
