St. Vincent Medical Center, a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence, is a world-renowned 366-bed acute care and tertiary care center, with a staff that includes more than 450 physicians and more than 1,200 associates, working to assist in the care for each patient. HEART CARE
Since the 1950s, the St. Vincent Medical Centers has offered leading-edge interventional procedures and advanced surgical techniques. As specialists in heart care, we were the first on the West Coast to perform successful open-heart surgery. CANCER CARE
The primary goal of St. Vincent’s Cancer Treatment Center is to be both aggressive and compassionate in the fight to beat cancer. We offer a variety of treatment options for our patients including medical and radiation oncology, surgery and cancer vaccines. The Cancer Treatment Center is also responsible for supporting and promoting the hospital’s oncology services through cancer control programs, patient, professional, and community education, patient support services and community outreach.
TREATMENT OF EAR & HEARING DISORDERS
Neurotologists at the prestigious House Clinic and top neurosurgeons with House Neurosurgery Associates operate at St. Vincent Medical Center. Ear surgeons offer expert diagnoses and advanced surgical and medical treatment for disorders relating to the ear, facial nerve, research in ear and balance disorders and multi-channel implants for adults and children. Brain surgeons perform skull base operations and are pioneers in life-saving acoustic tumor surgery techniques.
MULTI-ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION
St. Vincent’s Multi-Organ Transplant Center (MOTC) specializes in kidney and kidney/pancreas transplantation. We are a nationally and internationally recognized facility and the first to perform a human islet-cell transplantation to treat insulin-dependent diabetics. We are also pioneers in living donor kidney transplantation. The MOTC provides preliminary patient consultations, intermediary physician communication, financial consultation and post-transplant counseling.
