             Knee Replacement                  Uni-compartmental Knee Replacement

Knee arthritis is an extremely common and painful condition. There are various approaches to treatment, depending upon the individual patient and the condition of his or her knee. Medical therapy is the first line of treatment, including the use of anti-inflammatory medications.

When knee pain becomes chronic and too painful for a person to get around, surgery may be the next option.  People may often rely on assistive devices such as a cane or walker to offload the painful limb.

Knee arthroscopy is surgery involving the cartilage tissue between the thigh and leg bones, where they come together to form the knee joint.

If the cartilage is worn down and bone surfaces have deteriorated, there are knee replacement surgeries that can actually relieve pain and restore a person to an active lifestyle.

Knee replacement surgery is a resurfacing of the thigh and leg bones, where they come together to form the knee joint.

Unicompartmental knee surgery is a new procedure in which only worn areas of the thigh or leg bones are resurfaced.
